Pre-school and Day Care                  

Hi, my name is Cheryl Mock. I am the Director at Our Savior Lutheran Church and Day Care. I have worked at O.S.L.C. Day Care for 15 years.

It is our philosophy, that early childhood should be "A time of fun, warmth, security, exploring, discovery, and experiencing the love of Jesus Christ each hour of every day".

Our school offers several programs for all ages. The Pre-school program (ages 2-4 years) offers many opportunities for children to learn to socialize, problem solve and use listening skills. They develop fine and gross motor skills as well. The morning and afternoon staff introduce many subjects throughout the year. (Math concepts, science, music, pre-writing/reading skills and the Love of Jesus are all taught.)

Our Pre-K program (4 year olds entering kindergarten the following year) focuses on preparing children for kindergarten. The program focuses on following directions, pre/writing and reading skills, color/shape/letter recognition, and social skills. The majority of children who go through our program are more than ready for kindergarten.

Our After School Program provides a positive atmosphere for children K - 6^th grades. There are indoor and outdoor activities. We provide a snack time, a homework table, along with a variety of centers, such as art, puzzles, games, dramatic play and a weekly Bible time. We also provide transportation to and from the local schools.
